Lullaby No. 12 – Identity

A lasting Word fell from the sky
And landed in my voice
I screamed aloud
As it tore through the white noise
That's left me quiet

The winds
Their howls
They have all been put down
They left me in the silence
No rasp
No voice
I'm always in this stillness
In the echo of my soul

And in the silence
I can hear my voice sing
I tried to find the Words
But then I stopped and I fell silent
So silence I became

The winds
Their howls
They have all been put down
They left me in the silence
No rasp
No voice
I'm always in this stillness
In the echo of my soul

I took the Word from the sky
And then I wrote a song
I knew that somehow
I could find my voice
But then I heard the sky falling
It was silent too
So I stayed in the silence
True

The winds
Their howls
They have all been put down
They left me in the silence
No rasp
No voice
I'm always in this stillness
In the echo of my soul

Lullaby No. 11 – From Paris

The violin resounded in the lavatory
Looping from the descendant moment
Déjà vu au courant
The common object of your intellect
A readymade concept
Recurring in the drifting of your thoughts
Through sleep
Across worlds
Into dreams
Ever farther from the common point
To the next arrondissement
The center always slipping away
As you were always moving forward
The metaphor of an incessant redundancy
In the digitalization of your experience
What became the soul of your Reason
The rationalist’s empty throes
Resided
As they became known to thyself
Las there was no more
A mathematic of identity
Your shadows that hung over you
In every waking moment
Sleep forevermore
